Quinta do Soutelinho is a small estate located in the village of Sabrosa, birthplace of the navigator Ferdinand Magellan and the poet Miguel Torga. Situated in the Douro Demarcated Region, in a calm and peaceful environment, it is excellent for relaxing, tasting the region's wines, and exploring the area, a World Heritage site. In the early 20th century, Quinta do Soutelinho was the official residence of the director of the Vale das Gatas Wolfram Mines, and its history spans over a century. In 1941, it was acquired by the family that still preserves it today, three generations later, and is dedicated to cultivating vineyards and olive groves and producing wines.
The Quinta do Soutelinho winery boasts over three generations of experience in producing quality wines.
In 2003, our Quinta do Soutelinho brand was created for the production of estate wines, made exclusively with the best grapes from our own harvest.
At this time, a new process began to adapt the winery to the most modern standards used in the production of still wines.
The continuous renovation process leads to a continuous need for acquiring new storage and winemaking equipment.
All the wines we produce are based on top-quality indigenous grape varieties from the region: Fernão Pires, Rabigato, Gouveia, Viosinho, Malvazia Fina Branca, and Arinto for white wines, and Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesa, and Tinta Barroca for red wines.
